At this difficult time, we consider it our duty not only to fight on the information front, disseminating reliable and well-founded information and expertise about Russia’s war against Ukraine, but also to help our country and the city avoid a humanitarian crisis. During the 100 days of the war, we managed to raise more than 13 million hryvnias to help Chernihiv and the region (in funds and humanitarian aid).
ENERGY FOR CHERNIHIV
Due to bombing and air raids, Chernihiv was left virtually without electricity. To receive up to 300 wounded a day, hospitals needed powerful generators. Thanks to the International Renaissance Foundation and a private philanthropist from Cyprus, we purchased 4 such generators of 50 kW each! Another 5 small ones were handed over by partners from the NGO STAN. They were so needed by the city that they dared to deliver them in rubber boats across the Desna River when the Russians blew up the last bridge leading to the city.

Ambulance for the Maternity hospital
Prematurely born tiny patients of the Chernihiv maternity hospital, who need special treatment, are taken to Kyiv. The Russian army bombed the bridge to Chernihiv. Now the road to the capital takes three times longer. It is extremely difficult to overcome it without an ambulance.
Thanks to a donation from the private American company Zynga, we bought a brand new Mercedes. Now special equipment is being installed on cars in Belgium, and we will deliver it to Chernihiv!
Help for those who lost their houses
For more than a month, Chernihiv held back the onslaught of the Russian army and did not let the enemy into the city and further into Kyiv. However, the continuous shelling of the neighborhood and surrounding villages is in a terrible state – hundreds of houses were destroyed or destroyed. That’s where we delivered aid from the International Organization for Migration – blankets, mattresses, bedding, tarpaulins. solar lamps. And for communities that accept migrants – diapers
New windows for schools
After a month of continuous air strikes, bombings and rocket attacks, 27 of Chernihiv’s 34 schools were destroyed or damaged. Together with Chernihiv children, we have created the project “Angels of Freedom” and are raising funds for the restoration of their schools. Fairs started in Belgium, Italy, Iceland, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, USA, Ukraine.
Tools for reconstruction
During the siege of Chernihiv, 70% of the city’s buildings and infrastructure were destroyed, according to the mayor. Significant damage to the network of electricity, gas, water and heat. Thanks to the contribution of the German Marshall Fund and the donations of private philanthropists, we donated tools for rescuers, Vodokanal, and the Motor Enterprise 2528 so that the city services could quickly dismantle the blockages and repair the networks.

Food and medicine for the townspeople
Hundreds of tons of humanitarian aid – by cars, buses, trucks, wagons and even rubber boats – reached the residents of Chernihiv and the region in these 100 days. Food, medicine, and hygiene products for our defenders, citizens and, of course, animals. All this is thanks to hundreds of people around the world who have collected money for fuel and humanitarian aid. Volunteers of the Iron Fist initiative, embassies of Ukraine in Hungary, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Galicia, Nasha Ryaba, Silpo and all-all-all, who did not remain indifferent. Thank you!
