Foreign Policy Council “Ukrainian Prism” in collaboration with the Center for Strategic and Foreign Policy Studies (Belarus), as well as with the Regional Office of Friedrich Ebert Foundation are pleased to announce the call for applications for participation in “The First Eastern European Summer School for foreign policy researchers”

Summer School offers fascinating lectures, discussions and practical exercises in the analysis of the Eastern European political issues. It aims to create a communication platform for young Belarusian, Moldovan and Ukrainian researchers, increase their awareness of international processes in the Eastern European region and provide basic skills of creating and implementing the policy papers.

Each participant is expected to prepare a policy paper on the current topic of Eastern European politics after the course. The best papers will be selected and subsequently published in a book as well as online at Foreign Policy Council’s “Ukrainian Prism” website.

 

We wait for applications MA and PhD students from Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus, majoring  in international relations, political science, international economics, public administration and history.

 

The main criteria for selection will be:

  • a sincere interest in the region,
  • motivation to develop as an expert on foreign policy issues,
  • fluent English.

 

The official languages ​​of the Summer School: English and Russian.

 

Organizers cover all the costs for accommodation and  board as part of the Summer School, as well as provide transportation for charter buses Chisinau – Odessa – Chisinau and Minsk – Kiev – Odessa – Kiev – Minsk.
